Dr. Kafatos, panel address the role of nations in adapting to climate change

Chapman's Dr. Menas Kafatos on a panel Monday.

Just try and draw Menas Kafatos, Ph.D., dean of Chapman’s Schmid College of Science, into a debate on the causes of climate change. Instead of debating, Dr. Kafatos is interested in discussing what should be done to address the current climate-change issues that many nations, particularly Asia, are facing today. “It’s already here for some countries,” Dr. Kafatos said before he left for COP15. Monday, Dr. Kafatos was a panelist at the Korea Green Foundation event at COP15 titled “Building Asia Network for Responding to Climate Change.” Dr. Kafatos was the sole non-Asian member of the panel.
